In the outdoor kitchen, we installed uplights directly into the counters, creating a streamlined lighting solution that doesn’t disrupt the design. These lights accentuate the texture of the stone columns, emphasizing the rugged and cozy aesthetic of the design. We also added small waterproof uplights in the floor to provide further lighting and create a warm atmosphere that envelops the space.
We worked with the construction team to add downlights that are installed directly into the framework of the structure, with the ceiling completed after installation. This technique creates a more streamlined look. For this project, we had an expanded role that included overseeing and executing the electrical work. Not only did we install custom lighting, but we also added fans and built-in heaters to the ceiling, ensuring that this space is functional all year long.
At night, our uplights create dimension, depth, and texture, and continue to highlight the finish of the stonework. Moving beyond the outdoor living space, we added more uplights focusing on the surrounding trees, extending the warmth of the living space while still keeping it a distinctive area.
