Located just north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in the Town of Northlake lies a newly built residential community that welcomes everyone like family. Pecan Square is Hillwood Communities’ latest project that reimagines the American Dream. A mix of town with country roots, Pecan Square focuses on bringing neighbors together to build a strong community.
Hillwood Communities called on Signature Illumination Designs to develop a state-of-the-art, custom lighting solution that would establish The Arena as a central gathering space for Pecan Square residents. The 22,000-square-foot covered pavilion is a charming, modern farm-style barn that was lovingly repurposed to serve as an event space where the community can enjoy live music, have fun and relax with their neighbors.
Wanting to elevate the rustic characteristics of The Arena, our designers procured unique lighting elements that would contribute to the farm-style and ensure proper illumination. The steel wall sconces carefully placed above the entrances establish the red barn doors as focal points that set the tone for the entire event space.
Inside The Arena, we combined elegance with cutting-edge technology to transform the barn into a sophisticated, multifaceted event center. From Saturday farmers markets to Friday night concerts, The Arena is equipped with a state-of-the-art lighting solution that can seamlessly transition between events and ensure the fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down.
Our favorite part of designing custom lighting solutions is finding simple yet elegant ways to add that Signature look. The decorative wall sconces serve as focal points that add character and transform the back wall into a distinct feature. The hanging pendants lining the bar contribute to the rustic feel, and the unique chandeliers are distinctive decorative elements that establish personality and create a welcoming, family-like environment.
